Nowadays, it is becoming a common trend for business owners to approach the needs of their employees in a holistic manner. They understand the importance of implementing ergonomic solutions in the workspace environment, and how it directly translates into increased efficiency and job satisfaction. Owing to dedicated office interior design solutions, employees have the means to boost their concentration and optimize communication flow between various team members. A long-term investment like this makes office life much more enjoyable, which is absolutely crucial in terms of the so-called Well-being Index. As reported by the Gallup Institute, the notion of employee satisfaction is based on the following five elements: social relations, economic well-being, a sense of social bond, job satisfaction as well as growth and physical activity.
An aesthetically pleasing office space designed with employees’ needs in mind has a tremendous effect on decreasing stress levels, boosting motivation, and, ultimately, better work efficiency.

At this point in time, they make up the largest percentage of the labour market. This part of the workforce, frequently described as ‘demanding’, has been shaped by the possibilities resulting from Internet access and rapid development. More often than not, this entails certain expectations not only in respect of satisfactory remuneration, but other requirements as well, such as numerous benefits and modern office spaces designed specifically with a broad range of individual needs in mind.
What should employers keep in mind when it comes to the office design process?
In the article below, we’ve outlined several essential aspects that we entrusted to NOWICKI Design Collective. Owing to dialogue based on mutual understanding and free flow of ideas, we were able to create an office designed to cater to the needs of both our Team and Clients. We immediately realized the potential resting within that space the moment we laid eyes on it - hence our decision to reach out to expert interior designers to help us fully unlock it. We truly cherish the fact that we had the possibility to work with Mr. Andzej Nowicki and the team at BAKATA, who fully met our expectations in terms of advisory, knowledge, creativity, and ultimately - the end result of their work.
Branding is a multi-dimensional notion. It defines the awareness and character of the brand by visualizing its key values and message. Our image-building process is not limited to advertising materials - at TIAS we believe in complementarity. Arranging a large quantity of plants was one of the key guiding principles behind our vision. Nature is strongly embedded in our company’s character and constitutes the basis of our key visual. The catchphrase which permeates through our visual identification system - "There is always a solution" - refers to the power of nature, which, despite the difficulties it encounters along its path, always tries to find a solution allowing it to reach out towards the Sun. This vivid metaphor illustrates our services and the potential problems faced by our clients – seemingly impenetrable obstacles which we are always able to overcome with the efficiency represented by nature.
Acting in strict adherence to the presented values and mission of the brand, NOWICKI Design Collective created a project through which the walls of our office have been decorated with phenomenal constructions made of plants that not only captivate us with their visual quality, but also have a positive impact on purifying and humidifying the air we breathe. This is extremely important with respect to rooms equipped with air-conditioning.
According to numerous studies, we are becoming increasingly detached from nature, which in turn directly affects our mood and causes adverse consequences for both the body and the mind, such as decreased concentration, feeling of irritability, and even depressive states. These aspects ultimately translate into lack of creativity and lower motivation at work. Being well aware of those looming threats, and keeping in mind that we spend most of our day at work, we decided to counteract them accordingly by increasing the presence of plants in order to bring us closer to nature.
Another important factor that we wanted to see implemented in our space was the notion of acoustic insulation, e.g., when talking over the phone or participating in a video-conference. To that end, our office has been equipped with soundproof booths which allow us to make phone calls in private as well as to comfortably meet with clients.
Such a solution definitely improves one’s ability to concentrate during business talks at the office. Extensive spaces and technical equipment in conference rooms are also important factors aimed at making meetings, both in-person and online, more comfortable. Owing to high-quality software, we have the ability to schedule and execute online meetings for a team of several dozen people. The above-mentioned aspects directly affect our employee satisfaction levels as well as the comfort of our clients.
