Adam Smuga at a meeting with entrepreneurs in Riga
Can Poland become an important expansion destination for Latvian investors?
We discussed this topic during the "Gateway to Poland" seminar, organized on 4th of November in Riga by the Polish-Latvian Chamber of Commerce and Industry together with the Polish Embassy in Latvia.
The meeting was opened by Tomasz Szeratics, Ambassador of the Republic of Poland in Riga, reminding us that Poland, the world's second-fastest-growing economy after China, has just joined the elite club of countries with a GDP exceeding USD 1 trillion.
Rafał Dutkiewicz, former Mayor of Wrocław, emphasized that Poland's future lies in the "economy of ideas," because, as he said, "today's economy is no longer about the exchange of goods, but about the exchange of ideas." He also noted that our strength lies in "creativity, initiative, and an entrepreneurial spirit".
Adam Smuga, attorney-at-law and managing partner at TIAS, presented the legal aspects of Latvian entrepreneurs' investments in Poland, focusing on forms of business establishment and the company registration process. Our expert emphasized that when deciding on expansion, it's worth seeking the support of consulting firms with a wide range of expertise.
Our visit to Riga was incredibly inspiring, full of valuable conversations and new relationships. We sincerely thank the organizers and all the participants.
